Valentines Rice Krispie Treats | Turn This Easy Dessert Into A Special
I could make a whole 9×12 pan and eat them myself. And don’t think I’m joking. It’s been done many a time. What is it about the simplicity of butter, marshmallows, and cereal? I’m sure it’s mostly to do with the butter. Because . . . well butter.
So, what better way to use the classic recipe treat that’s pleases 99.99% of the population and turn them into Valentines Rice Krispie Treats? I can’t think of one!
We play around a lot on my Instagram with desserts, but this one is truly a new favorite!
I made these with my kids and they had such a blast. They each took turns mixing the butter and marshmallows, (Be carful and use age discresion around the stove) and then the cereal into it all. Once pressed into the pan, they helped cut out the treats.
Once cut out, I inserted a paper straw into the bottom as the “stick” to make them pops. I poured over the white chocolate, and the kids sprinkled their favorite m&m’s and other decorations on top of it.
Let them harden on the counter for a few hours, and then you should be able to carefully stand them on end. I made a few batches and found that the ones I pressed more firmly together held up better as a pop. Too many air pockets in the treats create breaking points and they will fall apart on the sticks.
Either way, they’ll still taste good!
These are also a fun treat to package up and give to friends, family, and neighbors! I purchased these treat bags off Amazon and keep them on hand to send home cookies with friends and for treats like these!
I hope you enjoy making many memories making these yummy treats! And if you want to make more Valentines goodness, try your hand at this Valentine’s Ombre Cake!
