Healthy Cilantro Lime Dressing
Do you love big heathly salads but struggle with all the unhealthy dressings out there? I make my own then I can be sure of what’s going in it, this protein packed one is my favorite on a big Mexican style salad. And it’s a one bowl, dump and make recipe!
Here’s the bowl, well it’s a mini chopper, or you can use a blender
This will dress one large dinner size salad or two side salads, I use one single size container of cottage cheese, I LOVE Good Culture brand
The juice of one lime and the zest
If you’re not familiar with zest, it’s just the top layer of the lime skin, the little “zester” takes it right off quick and easy, I picked this up at TJ Maxx
Minced garlic, is there anything better?
Fresh cilantro, I suppose you could use dried but I don’t suggest it, fresh is always better
Any salt you like
Cayenne pepper for a little kick
Dump it all in the chopper or blender and blend until smooth
It is delicious, healthy and bursting with flavor, I use it for salads, but it’s equally good on grilled chicken or steak.

Ingredients
For the dressing
- 1 single serve size 5.3 oz. Cottage cheese
- Juice and zest of one lime
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
- dash of salt
- dash of cayenne
Instructions
How to make it
- Place all ingredients in a mini chopper, food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Keep refrigerated and use within one week.
