  • 1 medium-sized cabbage, finely minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely minced
  • 1 carrot, finely minced or grated
  • 1/2 bell pepper, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup of sweet pickle juice
  • 1/4 cup of white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of minced dill pickles or 1 tablespoon of pickle relish
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Gather all the ingredients and bring them together in a large bowl.
Mix the ingredients, allowing them to harmonize and create a delightful blend.
Cover the bowl to protect the flavors.
Allow the mixture to chill in the refrigerator. The ideal timeframe for this process is a minimum of 15 minutes, but longer if desired.

    What is the surprise ingredient????? Been making cole slaw with these items since forever- just regular slaw. I just like to use less mayo.

      Must be the pickle juice, pickles, and/or pickle relish. Never had that in any slaw that I've eaten.
