Let’s learn how to make fresh mango and strawberry slushies!

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Servings per 2 slushies

  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 cup tonic water
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • Immersion hand blender

How to Make Homemade Slushie:

  1. In a pitcher, pour 1/2 cup of crushed ice, 1 cup of cut-up mango, and 1/2 cup of tonic water.

2. Then add 2 tbsp of sugar and use the immersion hand blender to stir and blend all of the ingredients until it’s smooth.

3. Set aside the mango slush, and repeat the entire process with the strawberries!

4. Be sure to add 1/2 of ice, 1 cup of strawberries, 1/2 cup of tonic water, and 4 tablespoons of sugar and blend until it is smooth.

5. Now you will want to pour in each glass just enough of the strawberry slush until it covers the bottom.

6. Then add half of the mango flavored slush to each cup.

7. Follow it up with the rest of the strawberry flavored slush. Add a sliced strawberry as a garnish.

Fruit Drinks with Alcohol:

8. If you would like an alcoholic summer drink, then add a shot of vodka (or hard liquor of your choice) before you blend each flavor.

Other helpful tips to making your own strawberry slushie recipe:

  • If you have fresh fruit instead of frozen, it is no problem, but take into account you will have

to add more crushed ice to get the perfect slushy texture. The texture is important if you want

to get a layered drink. If it isn’t thick enough, the layers will mix as served.
  • To ensure you don´t mix the layers, pour the upper layer with a spoon.
  • If you like it sweeter, you can always add more sugar after you taste. Enjoy!
