If you are looking for a nutritious falafel recipe, which is delicious, healthy, easy to make and diet friendly, keep reading and save this recipe!


Chickpeas are traditionally used for falafels but I can reassure you that lentils make super yummy falafels too!


Also these falafels are not fried but cooked with no oil in the air fryer, making them a perfect recipe for weight loss.


With only 1WW point for 3 of these falafels, you will want to make these over and over again!


I’ve had mine accompanied with some salad but they would be great in some pitta bread too. The kids enjoyed these falafels as snack after school.

Ingredients

  • 200gr cooked lentils 
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 20gr breadcrumbs 
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 chilli (optional)
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin powder
  • Handful parsley
  • Handful coriander
Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a blender at high speed. Make your falafels with the mixture. You will get about 6.
Cook in the air fryer at 180 degrees for about 15/20 minutes until the outside turns crispy and golden.
Enjoy with your favourite sauce! I love to accompany them with a freshly made tzatziki
