It’s no secret that I love frozen, frosty, slushy treats. Give me a mermaid slush, unicorn icy drink, or pretty much any frozen dessert and plant me poolside and just check back in the fall. So, although this granita recipe may take a bit more time than I am used to, but it’s so worth it to me!

Watermelon Lime Granita Ingredients

- Watermelon
- Agave nectar
- Lime
Cut up your watermelon and be sure to remove any seeds.
Place the watermelon cubes in a large freezer-safe container and freeze for one hour.
Zest and juice your lime while you wait.
Add the watermelon, agave, lime zest, and lime juice to a blender.
Blend until smooth and pour the mixture back into the container.
Place it back into the freezer and use a fork to stir the mixture every 20 minutes for two hours until slushy and frozen.
Add to serving glasses and enjoy!

Definitely buy a seedless watermelon for this recipe. Even then, be sure to thoroughly scan for seeds. It’s okay if a few of those pale white ones slip by, but be sure to remove any black seeds.
Is a granita a drink?
A granita is much too frosty to be a drink and is eaten with a spoon. Enjoy the icy flakes like you would shaved ice.

- 1 lb watermelon, cubed
- 2 tablespoons agave nectar
- 1 lime, zested and juiced
Instructions
- Place the cubed watermelon in a large freezer-safe container and freeze for one hour.
