Of course, you can serve this easy Christmas party 5 layer dip with tortilla chips, peppers, crackers, or your favorite dipping food.

I’ve placed a copper baking pan beneath the tree and filled it with red and green tortilla chips!

Adding a spoon for people to scoop some dip onto their plates is a great option.

We made this dip and brought it to my brother’s house for a recent holiday gathering.

My sister inlaw’s mother couldn’t say enough great things about this 5 layer bean dip.

She was amazed at how delicious it was and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread! So let’s get to the recipe, shall we?

Ingredients for 5 Layer Bean Dip

  • RO*TEL Original Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies
  • Refried Beans
  • Sour Cream
  • Guacamole
  • Shredded mild and/or sharp cheddar cheese (shred your own or pre-shredded)
  • Tortilla chips and veggies, or other dippable bites

Directions to Make 5 Layer Bean Dip

Follow these steps to make a simple 5 layer dip for your Christmas at home party!

Step 1 – Refried Beans

Start with refried beans near the trunk of the Christmas tree and spread the layer across the base of the tree.

Step 2 – Sour Cream

Spread the sour cream across the tree above the refried beans.

Step 3 – Diced Tomatoes

Add a row (1 and a half cans) of RO*TEL Original Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies.

Step 4 – Guacamole

Next comes a row of guacamole.

Step 5 – Cheese

The next layer is a row of shredded mild cheddar cheese.

You can use your favorite cheese in lieu of the cheddar, but mild cheddar is a neutral cheese that most everybody likes.

Step 6 – Repeat

Repeat the rows until you get to the top of your decorative holiday shaped pan.

For a Christmas tree pan that gets narrower, you’ll use less as you go to the top. So use more of each ingredient near the bottom (ex. 3/4 cup guacamole near the bottom of the tree and 1/4 cup near the top).
