Looking for an easy to make, delicious chocolate sauce? This recipe is super easy and absolutely delicious!

This Chocolate Sauce is so easy to make and absolutely delicious! I even use a teaspoon or two in my coffee every morning!

The chocolate sauce would make a great gift for the upcoming holidays! Just be sure to keep it in the refrigerator before you give it as a gift ! Include a copy of the recipe so that your friends and family can make it for themselves or just include instructions on how to make frozen hot chocolate or hot cocoa!

If you are concerned about the amount of sugar in the Chocolate Sauce, a sugar substitute such as one made with stevia can be substituted for the sugar. I have made it with the Aldi brand stevia sweetener and it is just as amazing as the original recipe. If you are using the a sugar substitute, you would use the same amount of sugar substitute as you would sugar.

Another tip: I usually make a double batch and freeze the 2nd portion until I am ready to use it.

In 1 quart saucepan, mix sugar with cocoa and cinnamon until fairly lump free.

Stir in water and cook over medium heat , stirring often , until syrup comes to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, cool to room temperature.

Pour into glass pint jar, cover with lid and refrigerate up to 4 weeks.

HOT COCCOA: Heat 1/4 cup syrup with 2/3 cups milk in saucepan over low heat or heat in mug in microwave. Makes 1 cup.
