I have a weakness for chocolate. In all its shapes and forms. Either a bar, or a cake, or ice cream, the list never ends.
I do enjoy trying different dark chocolate bars made differently (different nuts, fruits, etc.). I had an excess of cooking chocolate at home so I thought to give it a try and make my own chocolate bars, and incorporated a mix of nuts and dried fruits.
I like adding some contrast with a salty flavor, so opted for peanut butter. You can also just use salt flakes, and it will give it this kick as well.
Here's my recipe for Guilt-Free Chocolate Bars from scratch. That’s right. Guilt-Free Chocolate.
Homemade Chocolate Bars
Recipe details
Ingredients

Instructions

- -Once melted, mix chocolate with honey, combine well
- -Add nuts & dried fruits and fold to combine
- -Spread on parchment paper on a tray (mix should be about 3/4-1" thickness)
- -Optional to add peanut butter on top and swirl into the mix with a fork.
- -Freeze for 2hrs, cut into squares, and voila time to binge.
- -Optional to sprinkle salt on top.
