Plus, making pancakes from scratch is surprisingly easy and doesn’t take much time at all. Whether I’m making them for a lazy weekend breakfast or a special occasion, homemade pancakes are always a hit with my family and friends.

Cook pancakes on a low-medium heat. Turn your cooktop dial just below medium to achieve a perfectly golden pancake, cooked throughout.

Do you cook pancakes with butter or oil?

Definitely butter! The fat in the butter will give the pancakes a delicious, savory taste. However, butter browns quickly on higher heat, so be sure to cook the pancakes on a low-medium heat.

When do you flip a pancake over?

When the first side has started to bubble! Air bubbles will form and then pop, when the top of the pancake has become dimpled, it is time to flip it over.
