Vanilla Frappucino Protein Shake
-
This vanilla frappucino protein shake offers coffee lovers a taste of Starbuck’s popular drink while boasting 30g of muscle-building protein.
Where are my coffee lovers? Months ago when I did a 3 part protein series on my podcast including how much protein to eat in a day, the best food sources of protein to build muscle, and how to choose the best protein powder – I mentioned that I was on a mission to post real protein shake recipes.
Protein shake recipes that include ingredients I can pronounce and count on one hand. Recipes that are healthy and bursting with flavor and do not taste (or look) like grass.
Recipes that actually have a muscle-building amount of science-backed, high-quality protein (that would be whey protein, by the “whey”) and not the piddly amount of protein that food bloggers are calling protein shakes.
My very favorite protein is Orgain Clean Whey. And my favorite hand blender? This immersion blender from Amazon Basics is surprisingly budget-friendly for how heavy-duty it is. Pump it gently up and down in a large wide-mouth mason jar and it results in a deliciously frothy, creamy shake.
This vanilla frap protein shake recipe is for my fellow coffee lovers. I see you. I hear you.
Bon appetit.
