Ingredients

  • 1 C unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 C frozen blueberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp. vanilla protein powder (20g)
  • 2 tbsp. plain greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. soaked chia seeds optional
  • 1 tbsp. emulsified MCT oil (vanilla) optional
  • 1 tsp. spirulina powder optional
Instructions

Soak chia seeds in 1-2 tablespoons of water for a few minutes to soften.
Place almond milk in blender first, followed by the remaining ingredients.
Blend until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
Tips
  • Blender: I use the smoothie setting with my Ninja blender. You may need to pulse and scrape the sides to fully blend the smoothie, depending on your blender.
  • Load blender correctly: Place liquids in blender first, then add the remaining ingredients.
  • Milk: You can use any milk you choose. I prefer almond milk for my smoothies.
  • Berries: You can use fresh or frozen blueberries, but fresh will affect the consistency of the smoothie.
  • Banana: If you don’t like bananas you can add an additional 1/2 C. of blueberries. Once again it will affect the consistency of the smoothie. Banana will make your smoothie rich and creamy while adding sweetness.
  • Makes 1 large or 2 small smoothies.
