What you need to make this cocktail:


  • simple syrup
  • blood oranges
  • bourbon of choice
  • ice cubes

Slice a blood orange in half and then juice it, using a juicer. Add this to a cocktail shaker, with ice.


Add the simple syrup and the bourbon and shake it well.

Add ice to a cocktail glass, then pour in the Blood Orange Bourbon. Garnish the glass with a slice of fresh blood orange.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 2 blood oranges
  • 2 oz. bourbon of choice
  • Ice
Instructions

Place ice in a shaker.
Juice 1 1/2 of the blood oranges. Reserve one half for the drink garnish.
Pour blood orange juice into the shaker.
Add two tablespoons of simple syrup.
Add in the bourbon.
Shake well.
Add ice to the glass and pour in over ice into the glass.
Top with two slices of the blood orange.
Tips
  • Add some lemon juice and a cherry to make this a bourbon sour.
  • Feel free to use another variety of orange for this cocktail.
