My Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts are perfect combination of sweet and salty. I mean, bacon makes everything better, am I right!? Salty from the crispy bacon and sweet from the caramelized maple syrup which coats each brussel sprout perfectly. Not only are these delicious, but they are extremely simple to make! There isn't much prep needed for this recipe and if it makes your life easier, you can definitely prep the stovetop steps and then finish the final steps of roasting day of. These Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts are a great meal prep vegetable to make when you know you have a busy work week ahead!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups brussel sprouts (halved)
  • 4-5 slices low sodium bacon
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F
Clean and cut brussel sprouts in half.
Cut bacon into small to medium pieces.
Heat medium sized pan over medium heat.
Add bacon and fry until crispy and browned.
Add cleaned and chopped brussel sprouts. Saute and cook in the bacon and bacon grease.
Cover the brussel sprouts allowing them to steam for about 8-10 minutes, tossing every few minutes.
Add maple syrup, salt and pepper.
Cover and cook for another ~15 minutes, tossing every so often to avoid burning.
Place in a baking dish and roast in the oven for 25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately while they are still pipping hot!
