Mini Crescent Roll Cheese Danishes
These mini cheese danishes are
a perfect addition to a weekend brunch.
Simple and delicious. Made from crescent rolls!
Using simple ingredients you can make these delicious danishes for a quick Sunday brunch. Don’t like cheese danishes? You can easily substitute apple, cherry or whatever you like. These can also be made a little larger.
Open the roll of crescent dough.
Lay the dough out into a single layer, and
use a rolling pin to gently flatten and
compress the dough together.
Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife
cut the dough into 1/2 inch wide strips
Twist the dough strips.
Roll each strip until a rosette shape forms.
If you would like your danishes to be bigger
add more strips.
To make the cheese filling: 1 block of softened cream cheese,
1/4 c sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla. Blend well with a mixer
Top each danish (rosette) with a small amount of the
cream cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
While the danishes are baking make a glaze of powdered sugar,
milk and vanilla.
After the danishes have baked and cooled drizzle
with the glaze.

Ingredients
For the danishes
- 1 package crescent rolls
- 1 (8 ounce) package of softened cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup sugar
For the glaze
- 4 Tablespoons powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons milk
Instructions
For the danishes
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Open and unroll a package of crescent rolls.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough and close the seams.
- Use a sharp knife or a pizza cutter to cut the dough into strips
- Take each strip and twist it and the roll the strip into a rosette shape.
For the filling
- Mix together softened cream cheese, sugar and vanilla into a smooth filling.
- Make well in each of the rosettes and fill it with a spoonful of the filling.
- Place the danishes on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake 12-15 minutes.
For the glaze
- Mix 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar
- 1 Tablespoon of milk
- Once the danishes are cooled then drizzle with the glaze.
Tips
- If you don't like cream cheese danishes then you can fill them with cherry or apple pie filling. For a little extra tang you can give the cream cheese filling a little lemon juice.
- If you would like your danishes to be bigger then add another twisted strip to the first one to make the danish bigger.
