This lemon garlic butter pasta is by far the best pasta I have ever made! Possibly even the best pasta I have ever eaten. It is almost like an Alfredo sauce, but with a little tang. I definitely didn’t think that lemon juice belonged in pasta until I started experimenting with it. It turns out, the flavors of lemon, garlic, parmesan, parsley, and red pepper flakes complement each other really well! I definitely will be adding this to my go to recipes. It’s quick and easy but yet it’s so delicious that it tastes fancy. I used spaghetti noodles but you could use any type of noodle that you have on hand. You could also add chicken or shrimp but it’s great on its own too!

  • 1/2 box of noodles
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan
  • Juice from 1 lemon (about 2 Tbsp)
  • To taste: parsley, red pepper flakes, salt & pepper

Boil noodles according to directions. While those are cooking, add butter to a skillet over medium low heat.
Once the butter is melted, add the garlic and cook for a couple of minutes.
Then add in chicken broth and white wine.
Simmer for a about 5 minutes then add the heavy cream and parmesan.
Stir constantly until the cheese is melted, about 5 more minutes.
Then add in the lemon juice, parsley, red pepper flakes, and salt & pepper. The sauce will thicken after a few minutes.
When the noodles are done, toss them in the sauce and serve with additional parsley and parmesan!
