When I was a kid, one of my favorite places to go was the pancake house at the ocean.
In addition to the regular maple syrup, they also served strawberry, pecan, and blueberry syrups!
My favorite?
Blueberry syrup.
Hands down.
Now that I follow the Trim Healthy Mama lifestyle, I avoid all added sugars.
And processed wheat products.
So pancakes with blueberry syrup from the pancake house aren’t something I would order anymore.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t still love that flavor!
I love making French Toast using sprouted bread, egg whites, and almond milk.
Honestly? I prefer French Toast to pancakes.
One day I decided to try making my own blueberry syrup, and guess what?
It was so easy to do!
The consistency is different from the kind at the pancake house that was probably made out of corn syrup.
But the taste?
So. much. better.
