I love, love, love cranberries and their tartness! This recipe is not too tart and not too sweet with a subtle orange flavor for all you non-cranberry lovers! It is so easy to make cranberry sauce yourself. I promise! Ready?! Let’s do this!

Look at those beautiful bubbling berries! Mmmm, and that orange scent from the orange juice is amazing!

As the cranberries burst and cook down, you will see the sauce start to thicken up.

Look at that beautiful color! The sauce is now fully cooked and it will continue to thicken as it cools down off the heat. It’s almost time to add in the punch of orange zest!🍊

I guess you could call this a relish because I leave it chunky! You could also strain it before it cools in a wire mesh strainer pushing the berries down and it will be more like that solidified canned cranberry sauce we remember as kids growing up 😆. I would even replicate it in a washed empty can and refrigerate it, it might keep its shape too! If you try it, let me know how it turns out👍🏻
