This delicious caramel apple dip is the ideal dessert dip for all of your fall themed events and parties. Apple caramel dip is easier than making caramel apples but has all of the classic flavour of the iconic treat.
This sweet dip is made with a combination of cream cheese, powdered sugar and caramel sauce. Using only five ingredients that you can easily find at the grocery store, this recipe is totally simple to make!
We love to visit our local pumpkin patch this time of year, Davison Orchards is a must see when you’re in the Okanagan! Whenever we go, I am always sure to pick up a bushel of fresh Gala apples and a jar of their Old Fashioned Caramel Sauce.
The caramel sauce from Davison is the best, however you can use a store brand of your choice or make homemade caramel sauce too. Served with fresh apple slices, this creamy caramel dip makes a great after school snack!

- Stand mixer with paddle attachment or
- Electric mixer
- Large bowl

Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup toffee bits
Directions:
1. Combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl.
2. Add vanilla and mix until well combined.
3. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into a serving bowl.
4. Core and cut 5-6 apples into wedges and place them in a large bowl.
5. Cover the apples with water mixed with a little lemon juice (to prevent browning), wrap the bowl in plastic wrap and store in the fridge until ready to use.
6. Heat the caramel sauce in a small microwave safe bowl for 15 seconds until it reaches a pourable consistency.
7. Spread the caramel over the cream cheese mixture.
8. Sprinkle toffee bits over the caramel.
Note: you may use Skor bits, Heath bits or simply chopped up toffee, Heath bar or hard caramels.
9. Drain and rinse the apple slices before placing them on a platter around the serving dish.
This easy apple dip recipe is just as good the next day, in fact, its the perfect make-ahead dessert for the holiday season! Simply store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week in the refrigerator.
I love that you only need a few simple ingredients from the grocery stores to make this. Nothing too fancy here, that’s for sure!
