My kids declare these hazelnut cookies the best ever! Not only that, but they're also dairy-free and vegan-friendly. Don't wait to try out the recipe below and taste for yourself!

My children love cookies any time of day, but I try to limit their store-bought cookie intake by baking our own whenever possible. This recipe is especially perfect for making with kids. My daughter made them, and her brothers eagerly devoured them!

The cookies were such a hit that my daughter's friends also loved them. Now we make them on repeat whenever we're in the mood for homemade cookies.

I hope you enjoy these cookies as much as we do. Let me know if you decide to give them a try!

Ingredients
Ingredients
  • 125g (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp or 4.4 oz) sugar
  • 112g (1/2 cup or 4 oz) butter (or vegetable spread)
  • 250g (2 cups or 8.8 oz) all-purpose flour
  • 70g (2/3 cup or 2.5 oz) chopped hazelnuts
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 45ml (3 tablespoons or 1.5 oz) water
Instructions
Method
To make the cookies, start by creaming the sugar and butter together. Add all the other ingredients and mix until the dough comes together. At first, it may feel a little dry and floury, but don't be tempted to add more flour. After a few minutes of kneading, the dough will become smooth and perfect for shaping.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to your desired thickness, being careful not to make them too thick or too thin. Use a cookie cutter to cut out your desired shapes. We recommend star shapes ⭐️ for a fun touch.
Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 15 to 20 minutes or until they turn slightly golden.
These cookies are so delicious that we make them every two days! They are perfect on their own, but if you're feeling fancy, try dipping them in your coffee for an extra treat.
