What is summer without strawberry shortcake? It is a huge summer time favorite for my family and I.This strawberry shortcake triffle is a quick dessert everyone will love, and what’s not to love? It has delicious pound cake, sugar strawberries, and quick as lighting whipped cream. The whipped cream is light, and the strawberries add a refreshing taste of summer. This dessert can also be made ahead of time, and be kept in the refrigerator a few hours in advance. So why not give it a try? I hope you love this recipe as much as I do! It’s definitely worth it.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Strawberries
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1-1/2 c Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/3 c Powdered Sugar
  • 1 T Vanilla Extract
  • 1 package Sara Lee Pound Cake
Instructions

Rise and cut up your strawberries into slices.
In a bowl stir together the strawberries and sugar.
Sit the strawberries aside to develop a juice.
In a separate bowl combine the heavy cream, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
Whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer until it's a stiff peak and set it aside.
Take the pound cake and cut it into cubes.
In your serving dish place half of pound cake. Then half of the strawberries. Then half of the whipped cream.
Do another layer of each with the remaining pound cake, strawberries, and whipped cream.
Now it's time to enjoy!
