You can always substitute out the red and blue flavors for whatever flavor you like. For instance, you could use raspberry, cherry, black cherry, fruit punch, watermelon or raspberry for your red Jello. The blue is a little bit tougher to switch out, but you can always look at the different blue varieties.

Let’s Make The Stained Glass Stars!

Mix blue jello and pour into baking dish. Mix red jello and pour into a different baking dish. Chill at least 3 hours or overnight.

In a large sized separate bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin into 1/2 cup cold water, it will make some small bubbles and that is ok. Allow to sit for 5 minutes. After the gelatin mixture blooms (it will look mostly dissolved and get wrinkly on the surface), add 1 1/2 cups boiling water and stir to dissolve. Add the can of condensed milk and stir to combine; set aside to cool to room temperature.

Cut up jello into squares.

In a new baking dish that’s larger and add red and blue cut jello.

Pour the cooled sweetened condensed milk mixture over the red and blue jello small blocks in the baking dish. Chill overnight.

Cut the jello blocks with a star cookie cutter. I like to use the medium cutter as it works best with a spatula to help scoop out the stained glass star.

If you want to make a double batch it is super easy to do as well. You will just need to have enough pans or to do a second batch after you add the first batch to the baking dish.

I did not grow up having these jello stars, but they are a different take on the traditional stained glass jello molds that many of us know from when we were younger. Totally showing my age here.

I thought that they would be an absolute blast adding the stained glass jello stars to our holiday treats!

I thought this was suppose to be finger jello but it isn't. The red and blue jello are just jello and the white unflavored jello can't keep all three together. So when you try to pick the squares up they are just soft squishy and fall apart. May try the red and blue jello with the unflavored jello along with the milk and plain unflavored jello.

I think I figured out the problem. When you make

the red and blue jello don't add cold water just hot. Then just put in pans and let set.
