Rose falooda is a summer treat with rose flavored milk, nuts, vermicelli, ice cream and sabja seeds to cool your senses. Easy version to recreate at home.


Rose falooda is the most traditional and the most well-known flavour of the dessert. Like a lot of food recipes in India, this Rose Falooda is not native here but something that has been made so over the years.


All over Delhi, you will find cafes & ice cream parlors selling falooda Ice cream during summers. Falooda from lanes of Old Delhi is my most favorite.

This is everyone's favourite in Summer and best to enjoy chilled!

Ingredients
For Making
  • 1 cup Milk – 1 cup
  • 2 teaspoon Sabja seeds I used chia seeds
  • ¼ cup Vermicelli or falooda sev
  • 3 tablespoon Rose syrup
  • 2 scoops Ice cream Vanilla flavor or kulfi
  • 1 cup Mango Chunks
  • Chopped nuts to garnish
Instructions
For Preparation
Soak chia seeds in a cup of water for 15 mins. Drain excess water with use of a metal strainer.
Mean while you can cook semiya in 2 cups water until soft, drain water, keep aside.
Boil milk, cool down, mix rose syrup to make rose milk.
Gather all the ingredients, tall serving glasses. Add a teaspoon of rose syrup in bottom of the glass.
In goes the chia seeds equally in both glasses. Layer with cooked semiya equally in both glasses.
Add rose milk in each glass and top with a scoop of ice cream to finish. Garnish with nuts.
Add Mango chunks and enjoy!
Note- You can mix soaked chia seeds, cooked vermicelli with rose milk and keep refrigerated. Just before serving, transfer to the glass and top with ice cream to serve
