I grew up eating duck and initially I found it so odd that people had never tried it! Seriously it is one of my favorite meats and it still is. Luckily, now it’s become a little more mainstream and supermarkets are selling it so it’s easy to find. I hope it means that more people are trying it as well.
As you may know, I love using my air fryer. This handy little appliance does make some cooking processes a lot easier. I would say that duck breast is pretty easy to cook as is in the pan. The only drawback is that the skin release a lot of fat and it will splatter. That’s where the air fryer comes in handy. Since all the cooking is done inside of the unit, you don’t need to deal with the splatter.
If you haven’t tried duck breast before, it is a little gamey and the breast is best eaten medium otherwise it can be a little tough. I find that this dish is so easy to cook in the air fryer that we have duck quite often now. I hope you try it!
