Sorry am i missing something..........preheat oven??? to ??? bake for how many minutes??????

    • Chris Chris on Dec 26, 2020

The recipe says to cook for 30 minutes and most cakes bake at 325 to 350.... try 325 first and if it's not done, just add a couple of more minutes for the cake to be done.

My recipe doesn’t call for cinnamon and it’s a TRUE Texas cake too. Try researching the recipe and you may find your recipe is unusual. How much cinnamon do you add to your cake? I’d certainly consider adding it to try it. This is also a recipe you could add coffee to but I haven’t done so...my handed-down recipe is pretty perfect!
