Summer time? Breakfast time? Craving something sweet, but do not want ice cream? Drum roll please. We have a strawberry smoothie! This recipe is very quick and easy to make. The ingredients in the recipe are simple and pair well with each other, making it a hit with even the picky eaters. The greek yogurt adds that extra bit of protein and the banana brings in some sweetness. The recipe is great because it can easily be modified to be vegan and as the ingredients can be purchased frozen, it is great for any season. Time for us to get blending!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

  • 1 banana (peeled)
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries (pre-sliced)
  • 1 cup of milk (I used 2%, but feel free to use any alternative)
  • 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt (I used 0% fat, but can substitute with any alternative)

Take your banana, and slice it into two halves in the middle.
Take your blender and add in your banana, frozen strawberries, greek yogurt and milk.
Blend all the ingredients together
Pulse the blender until desired consistency and smoothness is reached through blending
Carefully pour out the smoothie into a cup and enjoy!
  • You can add half an avocado and a half cup of spinach for some greens!
  • Pairs great with a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
