Orange Creamsicle Smoothie (Vegan, Dairy Free, GF)

Citrus season is here and I’m loving it! Fresh, juicy and bright tasting citrus fruits are what I naturally crave this time of year, so the inspiration hit to create a delicious and healthy smoothie. My Orange Creamsicle Smoothie is a creamy and dreamy delight! Fresh mandarin oranges, banana, and vanilla yogurt make this simple and satisfying smoothie a great breakfast, snack or pre-workout boost.

Just a note in case you don't like the taste of bananas: you really can't taste the banana. My husband doesn't like bananas and he tried this smoothie and loved it and could not taste banana at all. Makes approximately a 16oz serving.

Tips
  • Tip: Use frozen orange sections and banana slices for a thick, creamy smoothie.
  • Note: If substituting mandarins for navel oranges, only use 1 1/2 oranges since they are larger.
  • Optional: Pour into serving glass and garnish with a dollop of yogurt and orange zest, if desired., extra dollop of yogurt and orange zest for garnish.
  • Note: I am lactose intolerant, that is why I choose to create a dairy-free version, but if you would like to use real dairy ingredients you can (equal substitution amounts.) Keep in mind that the nutritional value may change.
