With the amount of available fruits and veggies, there is no shortage of green smoothie / juice recipes. This one brings an extra layer of nutrients with a mix of seeds and superfood powders. And, with the gloomy snowy weather, this smoothie bowl will give you all the energy you need to brighten up your days.

This smoothie bowl has the right balance of fruits, vegetables, and seeds, rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and fibers. It is filling and can be eaten as a meal. It will become your daily power drink to warm you up and lift up your mood.

This recipe includes different superfood powders and seeds, feel free to omit any that you don't have. You can also increase the amount of water to make it more liquid and have it as a drink instead of a bowl. Really, you have a lot of flexibility to make this bowl and have a range of options for toppings. Adding here 2 different variations of toppings for reference.

  • - 1 cup kale
  • - 1 cup spinach
  • - 1/2 avocado
  • - 1 banana
  • - handful parsley and/or basil
  • - 1/4 cup hemp seeds
  • - 2 tsp chia seeds
  • - 1 tsp ground flax seeds
  • - 1 tsp spirulina
  • - 1 tsp maca
  • - 1 tsp cinnamon
  • - 1 tsp turmeric powder (can use fresh turmeric if available - about 1" inch piece diced)
  • - 1 cup water (amount varies to reach desired consistency) 

Blend everything in a blender / food processor. Top with your favorite toppings.
