You will need limes
Apples, I used green apples, but you could be super fancy and use my other favorite, honey crisp apples.
Pear slices
Orange slices
Pomegranate Areoles
A good quality Vodka like Belvedere or Grey Goose
A good quality white wine, I recommend a good quality Pinot Grigio to keep up with the fruity vibes.
Mango lemonade or fresh-squeezed orange juice. I find that any fresh-squeezed citrus or mango juice works wonderfully for Sangria recipes.
Garnish items: Rosemary sprigs, cinnamon sticks, and Star Anise
It is pear and apple season and pears taste great in any cocktail recipe so I wanted a drink that used both of these fruits. There’s a twist too. To make this Sangria really fruity and to bring out the other fruit flavors, I also used Santa Cruz Mango Lemonade in my Sangria recipe. It makes the Sangria pop and works really well when combined with white wine.
Fresh, seasonal fruit in a Sangria recipe is a must! I sliced up fresh green apples, fresh pears, limes, oranges, and pomegranates. Fresh pomegranate in a Sangria recipe is so good and makes the Sangria look so vibrant and delicious. For my drink garnish, I used cinnamon sticks, star anise, orange slices, and some fresh rosemary sprigs.
Do you guys have big plans for Thanksgiving this year? We may rent a beach house with our friends and do a fun Friendsgiving or just hide away and bring our dogs. One thing for sure is I will be taking that entire week leading up to Turkey Day off. I need time away from my phone.
This is the perfect fall cocktail for all of your holiday gatherings and would make a beautiful drink at Easter!
