Apple Cider Sangria

6 servings
10 min

Apple Cider Sangria is a refreshing sangria and an easy seasonal cocktail for a crowd and to celebrate apple season. Serves 6 - 8

This sangria is infused with perfect combination of apple and ginger flavor and is refreshing without being overly sweet! It only takes five minutes to assemble this sangria in a large pitcher or beverage dispenser.

I used a Pinot Grigio for the wine as the base of the sangria, apple cider for the juice, ginger ale as the mixer, and apple vodka instead of the typical brandy or rum.

Unlike your typical sangria that you mix and then wait for the fruit to infuse the flavor of your wine, you can mix this Apple Cider Sangria and serve it right away, as the apple flavor is already in the vodka and the cider.

Apple Cider Sangria

Ingredients

  • 3 – 4 apples, diced
  • 1 bottle Pinot Grigio, or white wine of choice
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider
  • 1/2 cup Absolut Orient Apple Vodka
  • 1 can Ginger Ale (I used diet)

  1. Dice apples and add to a large pitcher.
  2. Add wine, cider and vodka. Refrigerate until serving, 1 – 2 hours or up to 24.
  3. Just before serving add chilled ginger ale to pitcher and mix well.
  4. Fill glasses half full with ice, add sangria and apples.

Most sangria recipes have additional sugar or sweetener added to their fruit, juice, wine and liquor mixture. I didn’t add any additional sweetener to this sangria as the sugar in the apple cider made it plenty sweet for us. I also used diet ginger ale instead of regular ginger ale. Feel free to adjust to your taste and crowd, adding additional sweetener or simple syrup if desired.

if you put the diced apples in the pitcher, what apples are you adding at the end?

    • You fish out some of the apples in the pitcher to place in the glass. At least that's what I would do. I am going to make this. Need to go pick up the apple vodka. Everything else I have. A friend brought me a bunch of apples from their backyard and this will be a fun way to use some of them.

  • This looks really really good! I have everything but the apple vodka. No worries I have a few well stocked grocery and liquor stores in my area. Thanks for sharing! Will be refreshing in our still 100+ temps.
