If you tend to search for an afternoon snack that is crunchy and salty and often covered in grease then 30 minutes later you're feeling sluggish and unsatisfied then stop eating chips.

Roasted chickpeas are the perfect afternoon snack that will cure your need for an afternoon snack, but won't leave you feeling guilty and tired.

Afternoon snacks don't need to be covered in grease or even deep fried. This homemade granola is another perfect snack you can make at home and keep at work.

Using a can of chickpeas a drizzle of olive oil and any seasoning you have in your spice cabinet you will have a perfectly satisfying afternoon snack.

While you can use dried chickpeas that you cook either stovetop or in an instant pot. If you're using an instant pot for cooking, cleaning your instant pot is simple. Using canned chickpeas is quick and easy, and equally as delicious.

In a strainer drain the liquid from the can. Then transfer the chickpeas to a layer of paper towels and pat the beans dry before moving them to a bowl.

Drizzle Olive Oil over the chickpeas, then use your favorite spices to flavor the beans to your liking.

If you like a bit of spice use chili powder, paprika, and salt to flavor this perfect snack.

One of my favorite flavors to sprinkle over my chickpeas before I pop them into the air fryer is garlic powder and seasoning salt.

1/4 teaspoon of each flavor seasoning you pick is the perfect amount to give a bite of flavor, yet not overpower this snack.

Once you've added your favorite flavors, lightly toss using a soft spatula.

If you have an air fryer, that is the preferred method to prepare this snack.

Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer. If your air fryer is a combo toaster over, place the tray on middle-level baking for 15-20 minutes at 425.

If you don't have a toaster oven, you can achieve the same crispy results using a traditional oven.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (for easier cleanup.) Spread your seasoned chickpeas in a single layer and bake at 400 for 30 minutes.

Once your snack chickpeas are cooked to your preferred crispiness, remove them and allow them to cool completely.

Transfer to an airtight glass storage bowl or jar to easily access them for a perfect afternoon snack.

This healthy baked snack is also perfect to top a salad, adding the perfect pop of flavor and crunch without the added carbs found in croutons.
