If you are lucky enough to live somewhere that has delicious watermelons all year long you can enjoy this recipe anytime you like. For those of us who only have really great melons available in the summer months this recipe is best in late spring and through the summer.

When I head to the farmers market each week I grab a watermelon when they’re in season. It seems a shame not to enjoy them while we can!

After a few weeks it gets boring just eating plain old watermelon so of course I had to find a way to spice things up a little bit.

This delicious feta watermelon salad uses fresh, simple, wholesome ingredients to create a summertime treat that the whole family enjoys.

What’s in this feta watermelon salad?

To make this easy fruit salad you will need watermelon, blueberries, pearl mozzarella cheese or feta cheese crumbles, and some mint sprigs. That’s all!

This is a feta watermelon salad but you can easily make it with pearl mozzarella as well. It’s simple, straightforward and easy to prepare. If you like a more mild cheese go with the pearl mozzarella!

In either case the end result will be a tasty fruit salad that everyone loves!

How to make watermelon salad with feta and mint:

Slice watermelon in half.

Use a watermelon baller to make balls and place into a large bowl.

Do this for the entire watermelon.

Wash the blueberries and add it to the large bowl.

Break up the mozzarella pearls or feta by hand and add to the large bowl.

Add in diced mint. Mix well.

Keep in fridge until ready to serve.

Kitchen essentials for making fun summer recipes:

It’s never a bad idea to have some of these kitchen essentials on hand. They’ll come in handy for making more than just this tasty recipe, I promise!

I like half sheet baking pans that are quality (hello no noisy pops or sloshed cookie dough from twisting), I line my cookie sheets with silicone baking mats. These are a must when doing cookie recipes which can stick to cookie sheets and make a general mess!

Of course mixing bowls, a mixer, spatula, and some whisks should be on your list if you don’t have ones that you love. I also like to have a set of cooling racks so that my recipes can properly cool before they’re scarfed down by my family!

For this particular recipe you’ll need a melon baller and a nice big serving bowl!
