I love watermelon, one of the reasons I love summer. That crisp, sweet flavor. And there are so many ways to enjoy this wonderful fruit. Here are three easy recipes that you need to try.

To Correct Way to Cut a Watermelon

Begin by cutting it in half

Place cut end on cutting board

Slice the rind off in sections, cutting carefully

Slice off the top of the rind

Now your melon is ready to cut however you want

Ingredients
Watermelon Whip
  • 2 cups watermelon
  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
Watermelon Salsa
  • 2 cups finely diced watermelon
  • 1 cup finely diced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup finely diced red onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
Watermelon Salad with Cucumber and Feta
  • 4 cups watermelon, cubed
  • 1 cup cucumber, cubed
  • 3 ounces feta cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon chopped mint
  • 1 tablespoon chopped basil
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil to taste
Instructions
Watermelon Whip
Cut watermelon into cubes
Place watermelon cubes and whole strawberries onto a baking sheet. Place in freezer until fruit is frozen solid
Place frozen fruit into a blender and slowly add the milk.
Blend until the consistency sorbet.
Watermelon Salsa
Combine watermelon, cucumber, red onion, juice of lime, mint, and cilantro in a medium bowl. Stir to combine and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve this with fish or chicken.
Watermelon Salad with Cucumber and Feta
In a large serving bowl add the watermelon, cucumber, feta, basil and mint. Squeeze the lime over the salad, drizzle with olive oil and season with kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper.
Stir to combine.
Taste for seasoning and serve.
