Vic's Tricks To...Mu Shu Pork

This Mu Shu Pork is about to switch up the game on quick and easy meals!
I absolutely love Chinese flavors and this dish packs them all into a perfect bite. And it’s done in minutes!
This dish can be tweaked in a ton of different ways and they’re ALL delicious.
Pork, chicken, beef, mushroom. And just about any veg in the world can be mixed in!
Oh, and did I mention it’s done in less than 25 mins?!
For my favorite version of Mu Shu, I like to use a pork tenderloin w/ cabbage & cole slaw mix. But, as I said, you can use just about anything here!
In a small bowl, combine 1/3 cup hoisin sauce, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tbsp sesame oil, and 3 cloves of minced garlic.
Cut a pork tenderloin into thin strips and add to a bowl with 1/3 of the marinade. Set aside for 5 mins.
Vic Trick: I use a pre-marinated teriyaki pork tenderloin and skip that step altogether!
In a large pan or wok set over high heat, drizzle 1 tbsp of sesame oil. I use hot sesame because I like it SPICY! Add in the pork slices and leave untouched for 3 mins before flipping. This will give it a yummy char.
Cook for another 3-4 mins until they are cooked through. It won’t take long since they’re cut thin. Remove from the wok and set aside.
To the same wok, add in sliced cabbage and/or cole slaw mix and saute for 2-3 mins over high heat.
Vic Trick: I am all about the pre-packaged slaws!!! Saves you the step of having to slice anything and they have the best blends! Broccoli slaw is LIFE!
To the cabbage mix, add the remaining 2/3 of the marinade, stir, and cook for another 2-3 mins until the cabbage has softened.
Add back in the pork to the cabbage mixture until it reheats and that’s it!
It’s typically served in a tortilla or lettuce cup or served over rice. But no matter how ya serve it, this stuff is DELICIOUS!
