Nothing beats a reaaaalllly good meatball. They are tasty, juicy and full of flavour!

I also love meatballs because they are so versatile. Often times, I will make a huge batch, use some and freeze the rest to use later in a variety of ways! They keep well in a freezer safe bag for up to 3 months in the freezer. All you need to do it take them out of your freezer and let thaw in the fridge overnight until thawed. So easy!

This recipe is all about how to make the tastiest meatballs PLUS 2 different ways my family likes to enjoy them. Hope one of these ideas works for you!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs lean ground beef (or sub in 1/2 ground pork if you'd like!)
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp each; garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp each; salt, pepper
  • 1/2 cup onion, grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions

Preheat oven to 425. Prepare 2 large baking trays lined with tin foil. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add beef, eggs, warm water and bread crumbs. Use your hands to mix ingredients until fully incorporated.
To the meat mixture, add in seasonings, onion, parsley and cheese. Mix again to just combined.
Use an ice cream scoop to portion out meatballs. Scoop out mixture and roll to form golf ball sized shape. Roll between your palms until ball begins to form. Place on prepared baking tray, leaving a bit of room in between.
Bake meatballs for 13-15 minutes or until no longer pink inside. Allow to cool before covering and placing in the fridge or freezing for later.
