Obviously, the reason I love using a slow cooker for my mac and cheese is ease and speed. But, I also love it because the level of flavors runs deep.

Ingredients


  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) melted butter
  • 4 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz. cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • kosher salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (12-oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan
  • 2 ½ c. whole milk

Instructions


Combine macaroni, butter, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, parmesan, evaporated milk, whole milk, garlic powder, and paprika in a slow cooker.
Season with salt and pepper.
Set your slow cooker on high until the pasta is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Typically, this takes about 2 ½ - 3 hours. If it needs more time, set your slow cooker to medium, and cook for another ½ hour.

    The recipe doesn’t match the instructions. Is it 12 oz cream cheese ? How much milk and Parmesan?

    There is no milk or evaporated milk in list of ingredients so no idea how much to use.
