Ingredients

  • 1 cup of old-fashioned oats
  • 0.5 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix the flour, oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in one bowl until combined thoroughly.
In a separate bowl, blend together the olive oil, egg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Make sure that all the ingredients have combined well.
Combine your wet and your dry ingredients together in one bowl.
Add the chocolate chips into the mixture.
In a baking sheet, line it with parchment paper.
Take one tablespoon of your mixture and make it into a ball. Place the ball on the parchment paper and press it down to flatten it a little bit, making it so the thickness of the cookie is around 1.5-2cm. Place all the cookies on your sheet at least 1 inch apart.
Once all the cookies are on the sheet, put it in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until it looks like the cookies are fully baked. The sign to look for is the light browning of the bottom of the cookie.
