Are you a fan of Rice Krispie Treats? A family favorite dessert that is easy to throw together. Well, I have upped the game with these Fruity Pebble and White Chocolate Treats. Gooey and colorful perfection! An easy no-bake treat that will please the entire family.

My inspiration behind this dessert was Pride Month in June 2022. I took part in a collaboration event on Instagram and wanted to make sure to include all of the colors of the rainbow. Remember, love is love!

Fruity Pebble vs. Rice Krispie Treats

Rice Krispie Treats feature Kellogg’s Rice Krispies, butter, and marshmallows. If the ratio is right, the bars are perfect snacks and desserts for group gatherings. Get the ratio wrong, and the bars turn to absolute bricks. In my opinion, the bland color has always made the treats a bit boring for me. I wanted to jazz up the classic by using a more colorful cereal. Enter in Fruity Pebbles! The cereal is not that much larger than Rice Krispies so it doesn’t alter the ratios. I added a couple of extra ingredients – just a bit of creamy white chocolate and then some salt to balance the sweetness.

Materials Needed:

  1. 9 x 13 cake pan
  2. Parchment Paper
  3. Large and deep sauté pan
  4. Rubber spatula
  5. Measuring cups
  6. Measuring spoon

Ingredients:

  • 7 tbsp salted butter (or unsalted and add 1/2 tsp salt)
  • 10 oz. mini marshmallows
  • 8 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
  • 4 oz. white chocolate chips

Process:

Line a 9 x 13 cake pan with parchment.

Melt butter in a deep sauté pan over medium heat. Once melted, add marshmallows and continuously stir with rubber spatula until melted. Remove from heat and immediately add cereal and white chocolate and blend together evenly.

Pour mixture into lined cake pan and use spatula and/or your clean hands to shape the mixture into an even rectangle. Allow to sit at room temperature for at least an hour to cool and set before slicing.

Store in an air tight container at room temperature up to 3 days. Avoid refrigerating as bars will get too hard.
