How to Make Delicious Salted Caramel Turtles
Recipe details
  • 12  Turtles
  • Prep time: 10 Minutes Cook time: 30 Minutes Total time: 40 min

  • 2 c Pecan halves
  • 16 Caramels
  • 1 c Milk or Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1 T Shortening
  • Sea Salt

On a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, lay out pecans in a turtle shape-head, two front legs and two back legs.
Warm a caramel in your hands just enough to soften. Shape to fit turtle and place on pecans.
In a small mixing bowl, add chocolate chips and shortening. Melt and stir.
Add a dollop of chocolate onto the caramel.
Sprinkle salt onto chocolate.
Place in the refrigerator just until hardened.
