Another quick little sauce recipe for you! I know this may not be the most seasonal recipe but we aren’t eating stuffing and cranberry sauce every day in November, right? This Avocado Cream Sauce is perfect for tacos, burritos, taquitos and quesadillas, especially my breakfast quesadillas (recipe coming soon!) It’s made with just a few fresh + simple ingredients you just need to toss in the blender and voila! Delicious, creamy avocado sauce! Let’s make it!

Ingredients in avocado cream sauce

Fresh avocados

Sour cream – you can also use plain greek yogurt if you want to lighten this up a little.

Fresh garlic

Lemon and lime juice – in a pinch you can just use one or the other but I like the mixture of the two.

Cilantro

Salt

How to make avocado cream sauce

Not unlike chipotle southwest sauce, all the ingredients just go into your blender until the mixture is nice and smooth! Super easy!

This sauce has the perfect blend of tang and creaminess and it can be used on so many different dishes.

What to put it on

You can use this avocado cream sauce pretty much anywhere you would use sour cream or guacamole, it’s basically a cross between the two. It’s great with nachos, quesadillas (especially breakfast quesadillas!), tacos, burritos, tostadas or just a hearty bean and rice bowl!

A great way to keep guacamole is to float sour cream on the top. Spread to the edges then mix it in when ready to eat. I don’t like using too much lemon juice in my guacamole.
