As a homebody, I requested a date night "in" and my fiancé really delivered. He's been talking about making a white sauce with clams for a long time, so we made some fresh pasta together and the combination was unreal! The white sauce looks elegant but is actually super easy and requires just a few staple ingredients. The only thing you will probably need to go buy is clams! I highly recommend making this on your next date night. It gives you a fun activity to do while making a delicious meal. Plus, the wine that you use in the pasta can also double as a drink!

Sorry, but this recipe really needs added clam juice. And lemon does NOT go in linguine with clam sauce.

There are several problems are see. First is how much pasta goes with this amount of sauce? Second, unless you've been dating this person for awhile, long pasta is not something you serve as it can get messy. Third, You're not using fresh clams? I'm not sure I agree with Janet. I think lemon can go with this dish but that's personal preference. Good luck
