I love healthy recipes that give your energy. My crunchy granola recipe has all the natural sweetness without the sugar.

Crunchy Granola Recipe

Lately, I have been skipping breakfast to make up for overeating the day before and I realize it’s not working. It’s making me sluggish. On top of it, I can’t drink caffeine because it makes me super anxious. So I decided to research some healthy high energy foods that I can eat in the morning and that is low in calories. The expert says that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Everyone is different. I spoke to a few of my fifty and over friends who I play tennis or walk around in the community say if they skip breakfast they feel starved by the midday and end overeating at the end of the day.


I found that this crunchy granola recipe has all the sweetness I crave without the extra sugar and its the perfect food to keep me going throughout the morning.


Ingredients FOr Crunchy Granola REcipe

  • 2 cups raisins
  • 1 cup flax seeds
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup pumpkins seeds
  • 1 cup almonds or walnuts
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of sunflower oil

How To Make Cruchy Granola Recipe

  1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. On a un-greased cookie sheet mix all the ingredients with the sunflower oil. You can use parchment paper if you like.

3. Put granola mixture in oven for 45 minutes until golden brown. Mix it up half way through the baking process.

The granola should look golden brown end not over cooked or burnt. (optional) I added some extra raisins and apricots for more of a fruity flavor.

Store the granola in an air tight jar. I love my granola with milk and sometimes I’ll add some fresh fruit.

I have been eating this healthy recipe in the morning. It has been giving me that edge I need to accomplish all my crazy goals such as packing up boxes for my move in a few weeks to a rental. Not sure if you guys know but I sold my home and I will be planning to build again. So there are lots to keep energized for.
