Learn how to make apple cider syrup. This can be canned for up to a year or frozen for later. It's a delicious recipe, and it's pretty easy to make.

I use apple cider and let it simmer with spices. The recipe says to let it simmer for 5 minutes, but you can let it simmer longer to give it more depth to the flavor.

My kids love this apple syrup on pancakes and waffles. I like it on ice cream and on desserts. You can even add it to coffee or lattes for a delicious apple coffee drink.

This is a thin syrup. I don't add any thickeners to the syrup before canning. However, if you want a thicker syrup, you can open it and add some cornstarch or arrowroot powder and cook to thicken. You can use cornstarch to thicken and then freeze, but don't add it if you're going to can this apple cider syrup recipe.
