Addictive Green Sauce
This herby, spicy, garlicky green sauce is so good! It is easy to make and packs a huge flavor punch that can turn a humble meal into a fancy-feeling one in an instant. No one flavor is too powerful but you get a little hit from each ingredient in every bite.
This sauce is made with fresh, simple ingredients like: cilantro, parsley, garlic, lemon, avocado oil, sweet n’ hot jalapeños, salt and pepper. That’s it! If you’ve never tried sweet and hot jalapeños, please please do. I just love them! Just like the name implies, they are hot and sweet. That sweetness is something I very much appreciate when trying to consume something as spicy as a pickled jalapeño (I’m kind of a baby when it comes to spicy foods). I get them at Trader Joe’s but after a quick google search it looks like there are some other brands and then there’s always amazon. What to do with this sauce? SO many things! Roasted potatoes are my favorite but it would be great on any roasted veggie. We also incorporated it into several dinners and it definitely brought things to another level.
We put it on this farro and veggie meal and it was the star for sure. In the picture above: farro topped with roasted butternut squash, black beans, corn and peppers.
And this spaghetti squash and sausage meal (pictured above). I treated it like a pesto and lightly dressed the spaghetti squash noodles with it.
Other ideas: tacos/burritos, eggs, meat, sandwiches and salad!
