Appetizers are what’s for dinner! Not every night at our house, but usually when we’re watching a good SEC game on Saturday night. I’ve been making this pepperoni pizza dip for years during football season. This easy, cheesy dip is a no frills recipe sure to tantalize the taste buds. Fritos scoops are my vehicle of choice to serve with this hot dip. I’m sure crostini would pair well with it too.Dips should be easy to make, and this one definitely is. Hotty Toddy and Roll Tide. I’m so glad SEC football has returned, along with all the game day comfort food we are all accustomed to. Pepperoni pizza in a dip form hits the spot in the best way on game days (or any other day for that matter). I hope you will try making this crowd pleasing dip for your next get together or tailgate!

  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 3/4 cup marinara
  • 1 3.5oz package of pepperoni, divided

In a medium size bowl, stir together cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper until fully combined. Spread cream cheese mixture into cast iron skillet.
Pour marinara over the top of the cream cheese mixture. Use a spatula to spread the sauce evenly over the top of the cream cheese mixture to completely cover the mixture.
Spread your chopped pepperoni and 1/4 cup of green onions evenly over the top of the marinara sauce. Bake for about 10 minutes.
Remove the cast iron from the oven and spread Italian cheese blend evenly over the top. Top the the cheese evenly with whole pepperonis. Top with shredded Parmesan cheese and crumbled bacon. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Broil for 2-3 minutes until the out edges of the dip are bubbling. Remove from the oven, top with remaining chopped green onion.
