No bake recipes are the best. They come together quickly which is a nice perk but it is also really nice to not have to think about baking something while still getting a tasty dessert out of the deal.

Baking is not everyone’s cup of tea and I can understand that. This no bake vanilla pudding cake is great because it comes out perfectly every time and there’s nothing fancy going on.

If you are a mediocre baker and still want to prepare a tasty dessert, try out this no bake vanilla pudding cake today! So simple that even little kids can help prepare this one, there’s no oven involved so it’s extra safe in that regard.

You can top your cake with whatever you like. The strawberry syrup is bright and fun plus it adds a tasty little fruity zing to the flavor profile. Feel free to swap it out for your favorites though, anything will go great with this vanilla cake!

Ingredients needed for a no bake vanilla pudding cake:

Let’s talk milk…when it comes to pudding you really have to pay attention. Instant pudding is tricky. You will want to use 2% milk or whole milk for this recipe. Anything less and the pudding won’t set stiffly enough to be used in a cake recipe.

If you use milk alternatives like almond or oat milk the pudding won’t set either! I’d look for specifically dairy free pudding recipes in those cases and just make a vanilla pudding that you can sub in for the instant if you need it!

Other than that there’s nothing tricky about this recipe. You will need vanilla instant pudding, milk, whipped topping, honey graham crackers, strawberry syrup, and rainbow sprinkles or nonpareils!

That is all we will need to make this delicious no bake dessert. There’s really nothing to it! You’ll love the simplicity of this recipe and your family and friends will love the delicious end results.

Kitchen essentials for tasty no bake recipes:

When you head into the kitchen to make some of these great recipes you’ll want to have the best tools on hand.

Of course mixing bowls, a mixer, spatula, and some whisks should be on your list if you don’t have ones that you love. I also like to have a set of cooling racks so that my recipes can properly cool before they’re scarfed down by my family!

I like these casserole dishes from Pyrex which are great for no bake recipes and for all your favorite dinners, brownies, cakes, and more.

You can’t go wrong with some good sharp knives and a cutting board. They will always come in handy in the kitchen for recipes of any kind, even desserts!

How to make no bake vanilla pudding cakes:

Making this delicious no bake dessert is a breeze. It’s just like lasagna only better! We will be creating decedent layers of pudding, graham crackers, and whipping topping.

The no bake vanilla pudding cake will come together overnight in the refrigerator which makes this no bake dessert doubly nice…no need to serve it up right away! You can easily prepare this one in advance, it gives the graham crackers time to soften into a more cake like texture.

Spray a 9×13 pan with non-stick cooking spray

Step 1: Prepare the pudding according to the box directions.

Step 2: Lay out half of the graham crackers in the pan (You may have to break some of the graham crackers up to make sure you fit in as many as you can to make a bottom crust.)

Step 3: Cover the graham crackers with half of the pudding. Smooth it out so it is good and even.

Step 4: Layer the remaining graham crackers over the pudding layer.

Steps 5-6: Cover the graham cracker layer with the remaining pudding. Top with the whipped topping. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours.

Steps 7-8: Drizzle the strawberry syrup over the cake. Next sprinkle with the non-pareils. Enjoy!
