I have given this recipe name as "Chocolate Delight Jar"

A perfect dessert for your family this weekend. It has only 3 elements

Chocolate Cake crumble, Chocolate Moouse and some white & dark chocolate chips. Though no specific occasion is required to make desserts especially for family. Since it was weekend so thought to give a sweet chocolate surprise. It requires simple ingredients which is always available in my kitchen pantry.

The best way to make your Chocolate mousse more delicious is the quality of the chocolate you use. So here I have used dark chocolate made with cocoa solid not vegetable fat. Make sure to use a good quality dark chocolate. And yeah if you want your dessert to be more rich & creamy then add a scoop of chocolate ice cream.

I have garnish it with some chocolate cake crumbs, chocolate chips & some silver sugar balls. But you can also garnish mousse with some grated chocolate, cocoa powder, grated dryfruits or as it is!!!

You can serve it immediately or serve it cold!!!

Let's check out the Ingredients & recipe to make this yummy Chocolate Delight Jar. If you like this dessert recipe then please comment below, I would love to read your thoughts!!!

For Melted Chocolate
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) dairy cream
  • 250 gm (1 & 1/2 cups) dark chocolate
For Whipped Cream
  • 300 ml (1 1/4 cups) Whipping Cream (Sweetened)
  • 2 to 3 drops of Vanilla Extract
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cups of chocolate cake crumbs (optional)
  • 1/2 Tsp of Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 Tsp of White Chocolate Chips
  • Few Silver sugar balls
For Melted Chocolate
Using double boiler method add 2 to 3 cups of water in a deep bottom saucepan and allow it to boil.
Meanwhile cut the dark chocolate into small chunks which will make it easy to melt.
Place a glass mixing bowl on the top of the saucepan.
Then add dark chocolate chunks and cream onto the glass bowl.
Once chocolate starts to melt immediately mix it at small interval until chocolate is completely melted.
Then allow the melted chocolate to cool down.
For Whipped Cream
In a large mixing bowl, add chilled Whipping Cream and vanilla extract.
Then using electric beater whipped it until it's reach stiff peaks.
For Chocolate Mousse
Add one big spoonful of whipped cream to the melted chocolate and fold it.
Repeat this process until whipped cream is well incorporated and texture is light airy.
Once whipped cream is well folded just take a spoonful of mousse and turn it down if it doesn't fall in the bowl then the mousse is perfect.
You can served it in glasses, bowls or glass jars.
Here I have used small glass jar, pour the chocolate mousse in a piping bag and pipe it inside the jar.
Garnish it with some chocolate cake crumbs and chocolate chips.
You can also garnish mousse with some grated chocolate, cocoa powder, grated dryfruits or as it is!!!
  • If you're using unsweetened Whipping Cream then 60 gm of sugar.
  • Use good quality of dark chocolate for best results.
  • Make sure to fold the Whipped Cream in the melted chocolate not mix it vigorously or else it will split.
  • Measurements is the key for a perfect Chocolate Mousse.
