An easy and beautiful Chocolate Raspberry Protein Trifle with protein brownies, a Greek yogurt ‘custard’ and fresh raspberries. This healthy raspberry brownie trifle is sugar free, gluten free and Vegan too!

Someone asked me for a layered dessert like a trifle, and then someone asked me for a chocoalte and raspberry recipe. This mashup of a chocolate brownie and raspberries in a protein trifle – just beautiful!

It was super pretty to look at, yes, but that combo was also just amazing! Like for real!

Spongy, creamy and refreshing!

Ingredients for Chocolate Raspberry Protein Trifle

These chocolate raspberry protein trifles are made with a protein brownie and Greek yogurt, and have no eggs, no oil, no sugar either; The perfect chocolate protein trifle!

  • Chocolate Protein Powder needed for high protein brownie trifle and also replaces most of the ‘sugar’. I used whey-caesin Chocolate Milkshake protein powder from Quest Nutrition for this recipe.
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, or Raw Cacao Powder (HAYLSKITCHEN.15OFF to save on Kiva Cacao)
  • Gluten Free (All Purpose) Baking Flour – or a regular all purpose flour
  • 1:1 Zero Calorie Sugar Substitute – I use Lakanto, to keep this recipe sugar free; (code HAYLSKITCHEN for a discount here too)
  • Non-fat Greek Yogurt contributes to the oil-free part of the high protein trifle since it adds the moisture, and also extra protein
  • Almond Milk or regular milk
  • Baking Soda
  • Runny Almond Butter (no butter or oil to keep this recipe low fat)

And for the Protein Custard Layer in this Greek Yogurt Trifle

  • Greek Yogurt
  • Vanilla Protein Powder; This is the source of sweetness in the protein custard for this layered dessert. No added sugar in this recipe. Quest again here.
  • A bit of Unsweetened Almond Milk

And to make it a Protein Berry Trifle..

  • Fresh Raspberries! A really beautiful raspberry and brownie trifle here!
