7 Gujiyas
50 min

Any festival is empty without Indian sweets and Gujiya is one of them. It's easily available at sweet shop when festival is around the corner but you can also prepare it at your home. These Gujiyas are baked filled with rava, coconut and dryfruits. You can choose the filling as per your likings!

Take whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, ghee and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix all these ingredients and add water, knead to form a soft & firm dough. For the filling, roast rava until golden brown in colour.

Once rava is nice and golden add sugar and 2 tbsp of water, mix it and cover it for 4 minutes.

After 4 minutes, switch off the flame and add grated coconut, cardamom powder, roasted dryfruits. Mix it well and allow the filling to cool down completely.

Divide the dough equally then apply ghee to the rolling board, roll a round shape disc neither too thin nor too thick. Apply some water on the edges of the round disc and fill it with rava filling, seal the edges. (Making sure there are no air bubbles). Bake the Gujiyas in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 to 20 minutes.

Here I have made the Gujiyas with traditional way i.e hand. But you can use Gujiyas mould which is available in store or online.
