I found this classic cookie recipe in my mom's recipe card file. We always had these for Christmas. We also had these amazing cookies.

The perfect afternoon snack. Loaded with peanutty deliciousness.

Ingredients for peanut butter cookies.

Use a cookie scoop to measure out the dough.

Roll the dough into a 1" ball and coat with granulated sugar.

Place sugar coated dough balls 2" apart on a lined cookie sheet.

Use the back of a fork to press the cook to flatten a little.

Press the cookie a second time across the over fork markings. Place sheet pan into a preheated 375 degree oven.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

The cookies are done when the bottoms are light brown.

Remove cookie sheet from oven when the cookies are finished baking and place them on a wire cooling rack. Allow them to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.

Serve peanut butter cookies with milk, and enjoy!
